Science Policy at George Mason University
Our mission
To inspire the next generation of leaders by building bridges between science and policy.
Started in 2020, the new science policy programs at George Mason University aim to enrich the education of current undergraduates and graduate students in the College of Science and Schar School of Government and Policy in the field of Science Policy. From our experienced faculty the students will be able to learn how to navigate this complex field. With the university’s proximity to the national and a number of state capitals, students in these programs will be able to put their education to practical use through culmination exercises such as briefing congressional representatives on research topics and through internships at any level of government or the plethora of scientific institutions and NGOs in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area.
